Study summary

This clinical research study is investigating if bempedoic acid can reduce cholesterol and the risk of cardiovascular disease in patients who are intolerant to statins.

Half of the patients in the study will be given bempedoic acid, the other half will be given a placebo. They will not know which they are taking.

We will monitor your cholesterol levels throughout the trial and see if this medication reduces the number of heart attacks, strokes, heart-related surgery, hospital admissions and cholesterol-related deaths.

Am I eligible for the study?
